1. Let us twist the Russian way – THE RUSSIAN TWIST
The Russian twist is an exercise which targets the core and helps in strengthening your core muscles. How do you practice it?
Keep your heels on the floor and then sit down with your knees bent in front of you. Now pickup a dumbbell and hold it right in front of your chest. The next step you need to follow is to lean your torso at the back unless and until you feel that the muscles of your abdomen are stretching. Keeping your core tight, maintain proper breathing and then twist from left to right and vice-versa.
2. OVERHEAD PRESS- Alternately
Using the popular fitness equipment dumbbell, you can get into practice with this exercise. You should have a weight in each of your hands. Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Bend your elbows and remember to keep your palms facing forward. Put one dumbbell overhead by pushing the hand but keeping your core tight. Then bring it down by folding your elbows and then push the next hand overhead. If you are targeting for triceps then this will prove to be the best practice.
There are a lot of other ways in which you can practice exercising using the power and weight gear like dumbbell. You can practice lunges, reverse lunges, single-leg deadlift, wood chop, etc.
